Danville, Kent. – Danville businesses will soon be charged for garbage pickup. City Manager Darrell Blenniss expects the city to collect a total of $40,000 to $45,000 from the fees, which will pay for city employee raises.

Some businesses currently receive free daily or weekly garbage pickup, while others receive no service. As a matter of equity, all businesses will now be charged for garbage collection.
