Samsung, AnythingIT Launch E-Waste Recycling Program

Samsung Electronics America and AnythingIT Inc. are launching an electronics waste recycling program for Samsung customers.

The Fair Lawn, N.J.-based information technology (IT) management and recycling firm AnythingIT said in a news release that the E-Waste Recycling & Asset Recovery Program provides partners with access to a dedicated microsite at www.PartnerSamsung.com. The site is built for asset recovery, IT recycling and trade-in programs designed to have old electronic products resold or recycled properly, the companies said.

The partnership expands on a relationship of more than 10 years that AnythingIT has had with the Ridgefield Park, N.J.-based Samsung. Since 2004 AnythingIT and Samsung have jointly offered the EnviroSync Trade-In & Recycling Program and the STAR Toner Recycling Program in both the U.S. and Canada. Customers also may be eligible for cash rebate discounts when trading in equipment that is in acceptable condition.
