Szany Named VP of American Baler, Egosi Appointed to ASME Committee

Nathiel Egosi, president of RRT Design & Construction, Melville, N.Y., has been appointed to the executive committee of the solid waste processing division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), New York.

Waste Management Inc., Houston, has named Lawrence O'Donnell III executive vice president responsible for the company's Western region, and David Steiner senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.

The Louis Berger Group Inc., Cary, N.C., has hired Marc Seelinger as director of environmental services and has named Tim Baumgartner and Anna Lundin environmental scientists.

Michael F. Hullihan has been named vice president for Gannett Fleming, Fairfax, Va.

Satellite Industries Inc., Minneapolis, has appointed Phil LaRoche area manager for the East Central sales territory.

SP Recycling Corp., Atlanta, has named John Lucini vice president of the Pacific region and Stan Chesson vice president of operations for the Southeast region.

Russell Dudley has joined Safety Vision L.P., Houston, as an engineering manager.

ENSR International, Westford, Mass., has named John Nagy director of environmental, health and safety management services.

Waste Reduction by Waste Reduction Inc. (WR2), Indianapolis, has named Martin Wetzel vice president of sales for North America.

Anita B. Broughton, Wanda J. Ratliff and Scott P. Zachary have joined Haley & Aldrich, Boston, as vice presidents and members of the company's national industrial environmental group.

The board of Regional Waste Systems Inc., Portland, Maine, has named Norman E. Justice Jr. chairman, Jeffrey K. Jordan vice chairman, Nicholas M. Mavodones Jr. secretary and Gary S. Lorfano treasurer for the 2001-2002 fiscal year.

Vincent A. Laino Jr. has been named senior vice president and CFO of Roy F. Weston Inc., West Chester, Pa., while continuing his job as the company's chief information officer.

James C. Orchard, member of the board of management of ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Friedrichshafen, Germany, has left the company. Dr. Siegried Goll, CEO, will assume his position until a successor has been named.

David A. Pethick has been named vice president of business development for the Washington Government operating unit of Washington Group International Inc., Aiken, S.C. E. Preston Rahe Jr. has been named executive vice president of business development.

Jim Wade, former vice president of sales for Crane Carrier Co., Tulsa, Okla., has died. Mr. Wade lived in Tulsa with his wife, Willie Sue.

Joe Szany has been named vice president of sales and marketing for American Baler Co., Bellevue, Ohio. Szany joined the company in 1997 as sales manager and has helped integrate the Lindemann line of balers as part of the company's acquisition of Svedala-Lindemann Ltd.

Szany has held various sales, marketing and technical positions for five major baler manufacturers over the years. During the 1980s, he was president of American Recycling Systems.

A graduate of Industrial Economics at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., Szany currently is a member of the Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC), Washington, D.C., and the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Silver Spring, Md.
