Global Trades Award

WasteExpo has been awarded a Global Trades Award! This coveted award recognizes selected trade shows as being amongst the country's top trades shows and leaders in the industries they serve.

As a result of this award, WasteExpo exhibitors qualify to participate in an in-depth selection process from which up to 10 companies will be selected as the best companies in their particular field of business. These companies will be designated “Global Trades Award — Award Winning Companies in Field.” The Global Trades Award showcases the best among exhibitors at nationally recognized tradeshows.

The selection process will occur in the months leading up to WasteExpo. Criteria will not be product-specific or even industry-specific, but rather, will focus on the companies themselves, focusing on qualities such as: Would you invest in them? Would you want to work there? Customer retention. Customer satisfaction. Employee retention and satisfaction. Community service. The panel of judges will not be looking for the biggest companies, simply the best companies.

Once the “Award Winning Companies in Field” have been selected, television production crews will travel to each company and produce a five to six minute corporate video. A 30-minute program featuring these companies will air continuously at WasteExpo, and the individual corporate videos will be on display in the exhibiting companies' booths. Award-winning companies will be able to keep and re-purpose this corporate video program for sales or marketing efforts, highlighting the fact that they were selected as one of the “Top Companies in the World” in their field.

A promotional segment about WasteExpo, hosted by Terry Bradshaw, and the Global Trades Awards program will air on major cable news networks in the weeks leading up to WasteExpo. The award-winning companies will be kept secret and will be unveiled and recognized by the industry at large at WasteExpo 2005.
