BHS Buys Dutch Separation Equipment Company

Bulk Handling Systems (BHS) has acquired a Dutch solid waste and recycling air sorting and separation equipment company for an undisclosed amount.

The Eugene, Ore.-based BHS, which makes waste and recycling sorting equipment, bought Nihot Recycling Technology BV, based in Amsterdam, according to a news release. The Dutch company’s equipment can be used to sort municipal solid waste (MSW), waste-to-energy, construction and demolition (C&D) waste, and biomass.

BHS has partnered with the Netherlands company for years. “We are very excited to welcome Nihot to the BHS family of companies,” said BHS CEO Steve Miller.
