Investment Firms Buys Waste Body Maker E-Z Pack

Two investment firms have bought waste body maker E-Z Pack Manufacturing for an undisclosed amount.

Boston-based Overall Capital Partners and Denver-based Pine Street Growth Partners acquired the company from Navistar Inc. and will operate business as E-Z Pack Refuse Hauling Solutions, LLC, according to a news release.

Pine Street also is a principal owner of Waste Equipment and Parts LLC, one of E-Z Pack’s largest dealers. In announcing the purchase of the Cynthiana, Ky.-based E-Z Pack, Pine Street executive Brian Burns cited the growth potential of the refuse industry and called the E-Z Pack acquisition a “strategic investment as Pine Street continues to expand its presence in the refuse business.”

According to Jim Rogers, vice president of sales and marketing for E-Z Pack, “We expect to continue to expand our product line in Cynthiana, as Pine Street invests in the long-term growth of the industry.”

The E-Z Pack management team will continue to direct the company.

E-Z Pack’s product line includes the Hercules front loader, the Goliath and Apollo rear loaders, and the Hercules automated side loader.
