Recycler Highlight Networks to Buy Acme Electronics Recycling

Highlight Networks Inc. has agreed to buy Acme Electronics Recycling LLC for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition for the New York-based Highlight Networks gives the company electronic waste recycling facilities on the west and east coasts and in Galion, Ohio, according to a news release. Highlight Networks said the Chicago-based Acme will contribute more than $9 million in gross revenue in 2014.

"This augments our current operations and industry relationships,” said Danny Mendelson, Highlight Networks executive. “Together our companies will have enhanced resources to compete aggressively in the market.”

Highlight Networks does recycling, refining, metals trading and asset recovery, with a focus on precious metals refining from electronic waste.

The company expects the deal to close in less than 90 days.
