EPA poses recycling challenge to federal government

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, has started an e-recycling contest among federal agencies. According to an article published in Federal Computer Week, the organization has encouraged agencies to begin recycling as much of their used electronic equipment as possible over the next five months and to donate outdated items to schools and hurricane relief efforts.

The EPA, which plans to end the challenge next year, announced the contest in honor of America Recycles Day.
