Mack Trucks, Allentown, Pa., has announced that Dennis Slagle will succeed Paul Vikner as the company’s president and CEO, effective April 1. Since 2003, Slagle has been the president and CEO of Ashville, N.C.-based Volvo Construction Equipment North America.

Vikner, who has served as president and CEO since 2001, will become vice chairman of the Mack board of directors.
