Rumpke Looks to Expand Kentucky Landfill

Cincinnati-based Rumpke Consolidated Co. has received a draft permit from the Kentucky Division of Waste Management to expand its Pendleton County Landfill in Butler, Ky. With the expansion, the landfill would operate on 108 acres and secure more than $800,000 in annual fees for local and state government.

”This expansion is part of the normal life cycle for a landfill of its size,” said Todd Rumpke, regional vice president for Rumpke, in a press release.

The public can review Rumpke’s application and submit comments before the end of the month.
