Veolia Agrees to Buy Allied Assets

Veolia Environmental Systems, Milwaukee, Wis., has announced the purchase of certain solid waste landfill and collection assets located in the Midwest and Southeast from Allied Waste, Phoenix, for $86 million. The assets, which include six hauling companies, five landfills and two transfer stations, are located in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Georgia and expected to generate $54 million of revenue in 2007.
