Veolia Environmental Systems, Milwaukee, Wis., has announced the acquisition of Otis & Sons Trash Disposal, Boonville, Mo. Details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

According to a press release, the move represents Veolia’s aggressive plan to expand its service area. “The Otis & Sons acquisition further strengthens Veolia’s presence in central Missouri and contributes long-term tonnage going to Maple Hill Landfill,” said Roger Smith, general manager of Veoalia’s northern Missouri area and Veolia ES Maple Hill Landfill, in a press release.
