Verizon to be Inducted Into the EPA WasteWise HOF

Verizon Communications will be inducted into the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WasteWise Hall of Fame on Nov. 14 in Washington. WasteWise is a free, voluntary program where organizations earn awards for eliminating municipal solid waste and select industrial waste. Verizon has been a WasteWire member since 1994 and has earned nine awards from the program.

According to a press release, Verizon has realized more than $10 million in waste prevention revenue and more than $21 million in total recycling revenue due to its waste prevention efforts.
