Houston-based Waste Management (WM) has acquired the assets of H.T.R. Inc. and Earth Protection Services Inc., two fluorescent light bulb recycling firms. WM says the purchases are designed to “bring additional scale and capabilities to its WM LampTracker compact fluorescent light bulb recycling [subsidiary],” according to a company press release.

“Waste Management is making great strides in growing our universal waste recycling business, and we are excited to extend our capabilities with more processing facilities and a new customer base,” said Rick Cochrane, senior business director of WM LampTracker, in a press release.
