Hollywood, Fla., Implements RecycleBank Program

Hollywood, Fla., has begun using the RecycleBank program. Earlier this month, approximately 32,000 city households received 95-gallon recycling carts for the program. The RecycleBank program is used in cities nationwide and rewards households with points based on the amount they recycle. The points are redeemable at retailers, restaurants and grocery stores.

“Hollywood is leading the way in making Broward a greener, more sustainable county,” said Mayor Peter Bober in a press release. “Partnering with RecycleBank is a way to protect our environment, help the local economy, keep our community clean and provide real savings to Hollywood households that recycle.”
