RecycleBank Names New CEO

New York-based RecycleBank has hired Jonathan Hsu as the firm’s new CEO. Hsu, previously CEO of the 24/7 Real Media marketing firm, will officially assume the title on Oct. 4.

“RecycleBank is thrilled to be able to attract a leader like Jonathan to the company,” said Ron Gonen, co-founder of RecycleBank, in a press release. “Jon’s extensive media and marketing background will allow RecycleBank to significantly accelerate our global growth and expansion plans, and will be an incredible asset in recruiting the world’s leading brands to join the movement to motivate individuals and communities to engage in positive green actions.”

The RecycleBank program encourages households to recycle by rewarding them with points based on the amount they recycle. The points are redeemable at local and national retailers, restaurants and grocery stores.
