Republic to Build MRF in Dallas Area

Phoenix-based Republic Services has announced plans to build a third materials recovery facility (MRF) in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. A press release from Republic did not outline the construction timeframe, but did state that the new facility will be in Tarrant County.

“Despite the economy, people are concerned about how best to conserve our natural resources, and they appreciate the convenience and ease of recycling at home and in the workplace,” said Nick Stefkovich, Republic’s area president for North Texas, in a press release. “Even with our two MRFs in Plano and south Dallas, we need more space.”
