Houston-based Waste Management (WM) has named Puneet Bhasin as the company’s new senior vice president of information technology and chief information officer (CIO). Bhasin joins WM from Monster Worldwide, where was senior vice president of global product and technology and CIO of North America.

“Puneet Bhasin will bring skills to our team that will help us better serve our customers and help us understand their needs using technology,” said WM CEO David Steiner in a press release. “He brings consumer focus, knowledge, experience and leadership to the position that clearly can make an impact on Waste Management. His customer experience will help Waste Management use technology to improve both operations and customer service.”
