Silver Spring, Md. -- The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) has signed a memorandum of agreement with the U.S. Composting Council (USCC), Hauppauge, N.Y., to administer a joint certification program for managers of composting operations.

The certification exam will debut at SWANA's Seventh Annual Waste Reduction, Recycling and Composting Symposium in Houston from Feb. 26 to March 2, 2002. For more information, visit www.swana.org.
