Republic Names Boucher to Run Day-to-Day Operations

Republic Services Inc. has appointed Robert Boucher as executive vice president-operations.

The Phoenix-based Republic said in a news release that Boucher will serve as head of the company’s day-to-day operations and report to Donald Slager, president and CEO of Republic. All regional senior vice presidents of operations will report to Boucher, as well as the functions of operations controller, operations effectiveness and safety and environmental compliance.

Boucher, 47, has worked in the waste industry for 21 years. Most recently he was senior vice president, operations, for Republic’s southern region, covering eight states and Puerto Rico. Prior to joining Republic in 2010, Boucher served as president and CEO of wastewater and water management firm Synagro.

"We are fortunate to have Bob joining our corporate executive team and taking over the day-to-day responsibilities leading our field organization," Slager said.

Jack Perko will take over Boucher’s previous position. Perko currently holds the same position for the Midwest region. Justin Boswell will take over that spot.
