Johnson Controls Inc. is opening a battery recycling center in Florence, S.C.

The Milwaukee-based Johnson Controls, which makes energy, automotive and building products, said in a news release that the company made a capital investment of $150 million with the project. The operation employs more than 200 and sits on 36 acres.
