Washington, D. C. -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is planning a series of meetings in May to discuss the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act’s (RCRA) hazardous waste generator regulatory program. Stakeholders are welcome to attend the meetings or submit written comments. Among the issues to be addressed are which areas of the program are working, how the EPA can improve the program through technical assistance, and how the program can be improved through "better performance measurements, burden reductions and pollution prevention/recycling," the EPA says. The meetings will be held on May 4 in Boston; May 13 in Washington, D.C.; May 17 in Chicago; and May 24 in Seattle.
