Rumpke Driver, Another Person Killed in Ohio Accident

A Rumpke Consolidated Companies Inc. truck driver and the driver of another vehicle were both killed in a head-on collision in southwest Ohio.

A tire recycling truck and a tractor trailer struck one another head on, fatally injuring both drivers. Officials from the Colerain Twp., Ohio-based Rumpke, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Mount Orab (Ohio) police are investigating the accident that occurred the morning of Nov. 19.

The Rumpke driver was Richard Boles, from Highland Heights, Ky. He began working for Rumpe in 2004.

“We’ve lost a member of Rumpke team. Words cannot express the sorrow we are feeling at this moment. Our hearts and our prayers go out to these drivers and their families,” said Mike Puckett, safety director at Rumpke. “We are going to do everything we can to work closely with investigators to determine exactly what happened.”
