USA Recycling Partnering with Redwood on Oil Filter Disposal in New York City

USA Recycling Industries Inc. is partnering with Redwood Recycling to offer oil filter disposal for the New York City metropolitan region.

Reading, Pa.-based USA Recycling (USRI) said in a news release that Redwood, of Staten Island, N.Y., is offering the service to its customers using USRI’s oil filter disposal process. Redwood Recycling now can offer a market to its customers for the recycling of oil and steel byproducts, whereas there was no market for filter processing in the area previously.

Both USRI and Redwood do scrap metal recycling. There are more than 10.8 million registered vehicles in New York state.

"This will create a significant value for used oil filter generators where previously that did not occur," said USRI CEO Vincent Smith.
