What’s Taking Houston’s ‘One Bin’ Recycling Program So Long?

If you’ve been waiting eagerly for Houston’s “one bin” recycling program, don’t hold your breath. It’s still unclear when the program might begin.

The original idea was to have every piece of household trash — including recyclables — go into one bin. The money to develop this idea came from Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s philanthropic challenge fund, but the review about implementing the program  has gone on longer than anticipated.
