EPA Review Delays Guam Transfer Station Project

The opening of the Harmon Residential Transfer station has been put on hold until a necessary permit is approved for its use.

A special report filed Jan. 9 by David Manning, a representative of the federal receiver Gershman, Brickner & Bratton Inc., questioned the Guam Environmental Protection Agency on why it's taking so long to review the permit.

The federal receiver's office was put in charge by the District Court of Guam to close the Ordot dump and open the Layon Landfill.
