N.M. Solid Waste Transfer Station Still Has Hurdles to Clear

Although the design is in process, the city’s proposal to build a solid waste transfer station near Edith and Griegos in the North Valley must still clear some hurdles before construction can start.

There has been much public discussion and opposition to the project, and Bobby Sisneros, spokesman for the city of Albuquerque’s Solid Waste Management Department, said the construction will not begin until the New Mexico Environment Department provides a permit.
