Babcock & Wilcox Wins $190M in Contracts for New Biomass Plant in England

A Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises (NYSE:BW) subsidiary will get $190 million worth of contracts in its share of a joint venture to build a $250 million waste-to-energy plant in Middlesbrough, England.

It is the fifth contract for a biomass plant B&W has won in Europe in the past 13 months.

B&W Vølund, based in Denmark and Belfast-based Lagan Construction Group won the contract to design and build the 40-megawatt waste-wood-fired biomass power plant for Port Clarence Energy Ltd. B&W Vølund also won a separate contract for operations and maintenance services at the plant.
