Allied Waste Fourth Quarter Earnings Surpass Target

Scottsdale, Ariz. — Allied Waste Industries Inc., the second largest waste hauler, has reported a fourth quarter 2000 income of $41.7 million, or 22 cents per share (excluding acquisition costs), compared to $34.1 million for the same period in 1999. This surpassed analysts' income predictions of 21 cents per share.
