The network of American Red Cross chapters is available to help find information regarding family members affected by the disaster. All inquiries should be directed to your local American Red Cross chapter. Visit www.redcross.org/where/chapts.html.
Please note that you may have difficulty making a connection on the first try due to heavy site traffic.
Blood Donations
Many American Red Cross centers also have recommended the public spread out blood donations over the coming weeks. To Make a Blood Donation: Call toll-free 1-800 HELP-NOW (800-435-7669) Spanish toll free number: (800) 257-7575.
New Volunteers
The Red Cross also has thousands of trained volunteers ready to respond to disasters throughout the country. If you want to become trained in Red Cross Disaster Services, please contact your local Chapter later in the week to help reduce current volume, which is extremely high.
