Union City, Ind. -- Autocar is offering Caterpillar 3126E 7.2 liter mid range engines on its Xpeditor WX series trucks. The engine has 275 horsepower and 800 pounds of torque. The company says the engine typically is used for refuse hauling, primarily with automated side loaders and is a viable alternative to the Volvo 7 liter engine that was eliminated July 2002. The engine also is available in dual-fuel LNG and CNG versions.
