Baltimore — Facing budget problems, the city of Baltimore has announced it will discontinue curbside pickup of bottles and cans by June 30. This will save the city more than $500,000 during the next fiscal year, according to city officials. Mixed paper pickup will continue, however, and drop-off sites for glass, plastic and metal will remain available.
