Caterpillar Reports $5 Billion in Q3 Sales

Peoria, Ill. -- Caterpillar Inc. has reported third quarter 2001 net sales and revenues of $5.06 billion, a $277 million increase from the same quarter last year, and a profit of $205 million, an $11 million decrease from the same quarter last year.
