Chicago – Business prospects have looked better for the construction-equipment industry . A survey conducted recently by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) predicts that 2002 will close out with declines in most markets, and 2003 will begin with slow growth. The annual forecast polls manufacturers in the third quarter of the year and covers 60 different whole machine product types and 16 types of attachments and components. Detailed results are available on the company’s website, www.aem.org.
