Silver Spring, Md. -- The Florida Board of Professional Engineers, Tallahassee, now accepts the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) as a continuing education unit (CEU) provider. The certification means SWANA’s training courses will qualify for acceptable CEUs Florida engineers must earn when renewing their licenses, which Florida law requires them to do every two years. Engineers must complete four hours within their field and four hours concerning state laws and regulations. SWANA currently offers certification in seven different disciplines and 16 different training courses.
