Hazardous Materials Registration Fees to Remain Unchanged

Washington, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced that 2001-2002 hazardous materials registration fees will remain $300 for small businesses and $2,000 for all other businesses. This decision supersedes a proposed rule, published in the Federal Register on Dec. 7, 2000, which suggested temporarily lowering the registration fees and charging nonprofit organizations the same registration fee as small businesses.
