KAB Aims To Boost National Recycling Rate

Stamford, Conn. — In cooperation with Keep America Beautiful Inc. (KAB), Dr. J. Winston Porter, president of the Waste Policy Center, Leesburg, Va., has produced a School Recycling Guide to help the nation’s schools increase recycling.

The guide is catered to students from middle school through junior college. It provides a series of fill-in-the-blank tables and instructions to help schools to develop recycling programs. Topics include assessment of potential recyclables, identification of local markets for recyclables, and design of the actual recycling operations.
