New York Officials Halt Transfer Station Contract to Investigate Mob Connections

New York — Officials have delayed a contract that would send 500 tons of Queens garbage per day to an Omni Recycling of Babylon Inc., West Babylon, N.Y., transfer station. The city's Trade Waste Commission says that the transfer station is owned by the neice and nephew of a hauler with mob connections.
