Houston — Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI) has been sued by the Ohio Attorney General, alleging that the hauler charged 3,000 homeowners in Richland County $12 per year each for recycling services, then dumped collected material into a landfill.

The state wants the firm to reimburse customers and to pay a $150,000 fine, if found guilty.
