Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Recycling &Litter Prevention has issued a request for proposals for a waste characterization study for the state. The study will identify the components and amount of municipal solid waste (MSW) disposed in Ohio. The results of the study will help determine which items can be removed from the waste stream, which administrators hope will inch the state toward its 50 percent recycling goal. For questions and to submit proposals, contact Jan Voelker, research and program assistance unit manager, Division of Recycling and Litter Prevention, 1889 Fountain Square Court, Building F-2, Columbus, OH, 43224-1388.
