OSHA Relinquishes Wheel Chock Regulatory Authority

Washington, D.C. — The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has relinquished wheel chock regulatory authority to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). This decision came in response to FMCSA's March 30 memorandum claiming that FMCSA brake regulations preclude OSHA's wheel chocking regulations.
