Pennsylvania DEP Announces Violations for Operation Clean Sweep

Harrisburg, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announced that inspections held during Operation Clean Sweep, held from May 21 to May 29, resulted in 11,082 safety and environmental violations by haulers. Twelve trucking companies were cited for 2,073 violations, accounting for nearly one-fifth of all violations issued by the DEP.
