Reassessing Hazwaste Incinerators' Standards

Washington D.C. — A federal appeals court has ruled that standards for hazardous waste burning incinerators and cement kilns must be rewritten. The court stated that there are no proper limits on dioxin, mercury and metals emissions. Now, the Environmental Protection Agency must reassess such emission standards.
