Washington, D.C. — Exercising its powers under the Congressional Review Act of 1996, the U.S. Senate has voted 56 to 44 to repeal an ergonomics rule published by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration near the end of President Clinton's term. Now republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives say they have enough votes to follow the Senate's lead. If the measure passes in the House, it will go to President George W. Bush, who has signaled he will sign it.
