A Grafton, Wis., woman is taking trash laws into her own hands. According to local police, a woman claiming several trucks had littered outside her home and broken glass had been strewn across her property fired shots from her .22-caliber handgun as the offenders drove by.

Police immediately arrested the woman, who said that her neighborhood is filled with young kids who throw garbage around on Thursday nights (the night before garbage is collected). However, nothing justifies firing a gunshot, they added.

After the shooting, the only thing officers found was a broken beer bottle — not the “offenders” — about 40 feet from the woman's driveway.
