Waste Age Congratulates Design Contest Winners

Atlanta — Waste Age magazine has announced the winners of its 24th Annual Design Contest. The winners, chosen by a panel of judges including the Waste Age staff, are listed below:

Best Overall Design — City of Glendale, Ariz.

Best Roll-Off — Latella Rubbish Removal, Orange, Conn.

Best Rear Loader — Waste Management Inc. of Michigan

Best Side Loader — City of East Lansing, Mich.

Best Front Loader — Seaside Sanitation, Hudson, Fla.

Best Recycling Truck — City of North Miami Beach, Fla.

Best Sweeper — City of Altamonte Springs, Fla.

Best Container — Southeast Paper (SP) Recycling, Marietta, Ga.

This year, Waste Age received more than 25 entries. Winners were chosen based on appearance, cleanliness, overall message, and truck or equipment design. They were published in the August 2002 issue of Waste Age magazine.
