Waste Connections Reports Fourth Quarter Revenue Increase

Folsom, Calif. – Waste Connections' revenue for the fourth quarter of 2002 was $131.3 million, a 30.3 percent increase over revenue of $100.8 million in the fourth quarter of 2001. Revenue for 2002 was $498.7 million, a 32.1 percent increase over revenue of $377.5 million in 2001. Full-year earnings were $1.90 per share on a diluted basis on 32.3 million diluted shares. Chairman and CEO Ronald Mittelstaedt stated in a release that free cash flow was around $67.5 million or 13.5 percent of revenue.
