Waste Industries Reports Drop in Q2 Profit

Raleigh, N.C. — Waste Industries USA Inc. has reported revenues of $63.6 million for the second quarter of 2002, compared with revenues of $64.5 million for the same quarter last year. Operating income was $6.9 million, compared with operating income of $7.8 million for the same quarter last year. And net income was $14 million, compared with net income of $14.6 million for the same quarter last year.
