Waste Industries Withdraws Landfill Permit

Raleigh, N.C. — Waste Industries Inc. has withdrawn its application to build a landfill in Chatham County, N.C. But Waste Industries' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Lonnie Poole stated that the company still is pursuing a disposal solution for the region.
