Waste Management Settles with Former Executives

Houston -- Waste Management Inc. has announced that it will not grant four of its former executives $23.1 million in severance and stock options as part of a proposed settlement of shareholder suits. The settlement, filed in Delaware Chancery Court, resolved claims alleging that the executives misled investors about the state of the company after its 1998 acquisition by USA Waste Services.
